Who are we?

Karno are a young but fast-growing team of experienced technology experts who provide a number of services throughout the professional audio industry and beyond. These services can be broken down into three main areas. Firstly, we are a distributor of high-end audio equipment, including the UK exclusive distributor of Sony Professional Audio. Secondly, we are a service provider, sharing our team’s assets and expertise in the style of training and consultation. Lastly, our most recent and exciting venture, is our research and development department who are working on bringing our own product line to life. Job description

We are looking for a driven, technically adept sales professional to join our rapidly growing team. This role may develop into a regional specific role, or market sector specific role (we currently serve the Professional, Commercial and Consumer market sectors) depending on the candidate and how they develop. This role is the front line of the company, representing the company values directly to our customers, providing market feedback and meeting periodic sales targets.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Managing and maintaining accounts, growing the business and hitting targets
  • Providing technical support to accounts and end users
  • Finding new business, generating new leads
  • Outgoing sales calls: Following up on campaigns by phone. Generating, chasing and closing quotes or projects.
  • Maintaining the CRM database, generating new leads
  • On-site sales visits/demonstrations
  • Order processing
  • Ad-hoc sales duties

Requirements 

  • A good technical understanding and enthusiasm for audio technology
  • Polite & confident manner, comfortable with public speaking and demonstrations

Job description

We are looking for a 3D Generalist / Marketing Coordinator to work with all sides of the business but mainly focusing on content creation for our new product line. This role primarily requires a 3D graphics skill-set, with the ability to also do simple 2D designs for multiple platforms. As a part of both the marketing department and R&D team, you will work internally as well as externally with our business partners. Being part of a small team means the role will vary a lot day to day, learning new aspects of the business with internal and external partners. The long term ambition will be as the business grows the role becomes more focused in the area best suited for you. This is not a senior role, we are seeking attitude and aptitude over experience.

 Key Responsibilities 

  • Working on a range of design pieces, from 3D animations, to social media posts to packaging design and full-scale branding projects.
    • Creating 3D graphics, 3D modelling, animations, and video content.
    • 2D graphics design, for example for printed materials and digital/web content.
  • Convert complex client briefs into powerful visual concepts and animations taking ownership of that process from start to finish while working to brand aesthetic.
  • Ad-hoc marketing duties across the business.

Requirements 

  • Must be able to take charge as the sole 3D resource for the team.
  • Degree (or equivalent) or valid experience in Graphic Design or similar
  • A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics.
  • Proficient in some or all of the following
    • 3DS Max / Maya / Cinema4D / Blender
    • Photoshop / Illustrator / InDesign
  • Have the ability to keep up-to-date with the latest software updates and industry best practice
  • An understanding and appreciation for music and/or audio equipment.
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and details.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work methodically and meet deadlines.

Bonus Skills

  • Basic understanding of WordPress and website development
  • Experience using Social Media platforms
  • Capacity to shoot video content

We are looking for a part time Administrator/Bookkeeper to help with Karnos finances. This is a remote position, with flexible hours, ideally splitting (14) hours over the working week.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Managing all aspects of the day-to-day financial operations, including maintaining and organizing the necessary records and files.
  • BACS Payment runs, ensuring payments are made in a timely manner.
  • Preparation and management of quarterly VAT returns.
  • External compliance including liaising with HMRC, Banks, Accountants and Advisers where required.
  • Preparation of draft year end accounts and liaising with our external accountant
  • Providing insightful analysis, reviewing financial data and preparing monthly reports to support the management team
  • Processing Monthly Payroll, Tax Changes & Submitting pension information for a small team
  • Administration of Statutory payments and deductions such as, Statutory Sick Pay, Statutory Maternity Pay, PAYE and National Insurance etc.
  • HMRC Submissions & Payments
  • Chasing payments

Requirements 

  • Written reporting & verbal communication skills with polite & confident phone manner
  • Excellent understanding and experience of Xero and it’s features
  • Extremely organised with an eye for detail and an ability to identify error
  • 3 years Experience in a previous Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper role
  • Accounts qualification preferable
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills ideally including academic track record in maths, finance or a related discipline.
  • Excellent IT skills with experienced in Excel and Microsoft office packages
  • Excellent understanding of VAT, CIS & Corporation Tax
  • Reliable with the ability to work independently on tasks with accuracy and attention to detail
  • The ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Experience with Grant application, processing and reporting a bonus.
